Novak Djokovic's knee injury clears path for young guard

Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are set to renew their great rivalry in a blockbuster semi-final clash that will have huge implications for the future of men's tennis.

Sinner, 22, is the world number 12 and has already won two Masters 1000 titles this season. Alcaraz, 19, is the world number 4 and won the Madrid Masters and the Barcelona Open earlier this year.

Both players are seen as the future of the sport and their semi-final clash is sure to be a cracker.

Alcaraz came into the French Open having played just one clay court event courtesy of an injured arm while Sinner who pulled out of the Italian Open with an ankle problem also had injury concerns coming into the tournament.

But both players have come through their first four matches without dropping a set and will be confident of reaching the final.
