Arshad Nadeem Withdraws from Asian Games Due to Injury

Pakistani Javelin Thrower Pulls Out of Hangzhou Event

After setting a new national record in 2018, Nadeem is unable to compete due to a knee injury.

Pakistani javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem has withdrawn from the final of the men's javelin throw event in the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. The decision was made due to a persistent knee injury that Nadeem has been managing.

Nadeem's withdrawal from the competition is a disappointment for Pakistani fans, as he was expected to compete against India's Neeraj Chopra, the reigning Olympic champion.

Nadeem's withdrawal is a setback for Pakistan in the javelin throw event. He was the only Pakistani athlete to qualify for the final. His personal best and national record of 80.75m, set at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia, was the best among the Pakistani javelin throwers.
