The 2024 Dublin Half Marathon took place on Sunday, March 10th, attracting a field of over 20,000 runners from around the world. The course, which started and finished in the heart of Dublin city center, featured a flat and fast route that showcased the city's iconic landmarks.
Elite Race Results
In the elite men's race, Kenya's Geoffrey Kiprop emerged victorious with a time of 59:49. Kiprop, who is a two-time winner of the Amsterdam Marathon, pulled away from the pack in the final kilometers to secure his first Dublin Half Marathon title.
Ethiopia's Jemal Yimer finished second in 1:00:03, while Kenya's Daniel Wanjiru rounded out the podium in 1:00:05.
In the elite women's race, Kenya's Ruth Kipyegon took the top spot with a time of 1:06:00. Kipyegon, who is a two-time Olympic 1500m champion, controlled the race from the start and extended her lead throughout the course.
Ethiopia's Hiwot Gebrekidan finished second in 1:06:28, followed by Kenya's Peres Jepchirchir in 1:06:36.
